Dr. Duthu holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed by the Louisiana Board. She earned her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida after completing her Master’s in Communication Disorders from LSU Health Sciences Center. Her education and clinical experience allow her to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based hearing care.

“I have been an employee of United Airlines (formerly Continental Airlines) for 39 years. I started my career in 1974. In my early years at the airport, I was exposed to loud noise, specifically from jet engines, but also from various ground support equipment that had loud, turbine engines. Over a period of time as a result of the noise exposure, I experienced nerve damage that greatly deteriorated my ability to hear well. Last year I made an appointment with Dr. Duthu. She readily identified the specific problem I had and recommended a state of the art set of hearings aids. I had worn hearing aids before, but never the type (Siemens) Dr. Duthu had ordered for me. While my hearing will never be 100%, it is nonetheless greatly improved. The aids that I received from Dr. Duthu are very comfortable. The best thing I appreciate about NOLA Hearing is the follow-up. I have made several follow-up appointments, and each and every time I have been accommodated immediately. I have never had a problem scheduling a follow-up visit. There have been times when I was not sure I was placing the aid correctly in the ear canal and you always took the time to go over the technique with me without making me feel that I was being a pest or taking up your time for something I should have been able to do.
